How we work
What we use AI for, where our numbers come from and what happens when we get something wrong.
How do we use AI?
We research and draft with AI assistance. A separate fact-checking pass, also AI-assisted, then compares every figure with the official Swiss source it links to before a post goes live. Halil, who runs the site, sets the rules and reviews the posts. If you find a mistake, tell us and we fix it.
Where do the figures come from?
Rates, caps, deadlines and prices are linked inline to official sources, for example:
- admin.ch (Swiss federal government) and ch.ch (official guide for residents)
- BAG / FOPH (Federal Office of Public Health) and its premium comparison site priminfo.admin.ch
- ESTV (Federal Tax Administration) and cantonal tax offices
- BSV (Federal Social Insurance Office)
- serafe.ch for the household media fee and SBB for public transport prices
Each post names the year its figures apply to and shows the date they were last checked. We recheck posts when new premiums come out in autumn and when the new tax year starts in January.
What if you spot a mistake?
Tell us and we will check it against the source. If we were wrong, we correct the post and note the change and its date at the end of the post.

Do we earn money from recommendations?
We sell our own budgeting templates and may link to them; those links are always clearly ours. We have no affiliate deals with insurers and do not recommend a specific insurer, fund or product to you. If we ever add an affiliate link elsewhere, it will be labelled as one.
